SMART BUILDING CONFERENCE 3.0

CHALLENGE | OPPORTUNITY | SUSTAINABILITY

18 - 19 October 2022

  • Wondering if you have what it takes to run a truly SMART Building?

  • Looking for actual applicable solutions for Energy Efficiency?

  • Concerned about the environment and want to make a real impact?

  • Zero-Carbon a realistic solution or a pipe dream?

  • Can all the new technologies be implemented sustainably?

  • Want to ensure your building occupants have a safe working environment?

Are you ready to GO SMART?
Begin your discovery here
  • Today, buildings consume up to 40% of the total global energy.

  • By the year 2030, 50% of the world’s total energy will be used by buildings.

  • In major urban centers, buildings contribute more than 60% of emissions.

  • Mismanaged indoor air can be up to 7 times more polluted than outdoor air.

  • Buildings cost USD$30,000 per year to operate, just on energy costs alone.

  • Indoor Cooling accounts for up to 40% of utility costs in a building.

  • In the past year, buildings introduced over 9.95Gt of CO2 into the environment.

  • Smart Buildings sector will account for over USD$120 Billion by the year 2026 with an annual growth rate of 11% Are you a part of this growing industry?

The modern city will be populated with smart buildings, designed with green initiatives in mind, utilizing cutting-edge cooling sensors to reduce overheads and energy consumption. These new generation of buildings are powered by IoT smart monitoring systems, including cloud monitoring and data analysis for energy usage trends. 5G is a fast-growing sector that is seeing adoption in fields such as machine learning, smart devices, construction drones, and architectural prototyping and design.

Green and smart buildings will shape the future, not just out of efficiency, but also for the necessary preservation of the environment. This conference will help you discover new tools and innovations that are profitable and green-friendly. From decarbonization, emission benchmarks, energy saving, and the use of big data to engineer sustainable cooling systems, this is a journey you won’t want to miss.

Don’t get left behind with yesterday’s standards, embrace a greener and smarter tomorrow.

NET ZERO BY 2050

In the year 2015, the United Nations began the “Net Zero” initiative. This was started in response to an alarming rise in global temperatures. To be precise, the world is already 1.1 degrees Celsius warmer than it was in the 1800s. In order to stop this from becoming 1.5 degrees Celsius, the UN called on nations to cut emissions by 45% in 2030 and reach net zero emissions by 2050.

What does this have to do with you? Well buildings are responsible for about 60% of those emissions in urban areas. If we’re going to want to preserve the environment and the climate for future generations, the change has to start with us. We should transform the way we design, build, and operate buildings, making them SMART.

Are your buildings SMART enough to be SUSTAINABLE?

When people talk about SMART building developments in the present, you will hear mentions of keywords such as the Internet of Things, Zero-Carbon, Energy Efficiency, Towards Zero-Consumption, 5G Networking for sensor technology, and innovations for indoor cooling and air quality. These are all factors that important for the modernization of buildings as we move towards the operation of more tech-savvy facility operations.

BUT…

Have we really considered the reality of the situation? SMART buildings are driven by new processes, innovations, and technologies. They are regulated by increasingly strict emission protocols by international climate control initiatives. The operation of these buildings require individuals with specialized knowledge about how to effectively implement and maintain the complex systems that make a building SMART.

SO?

What about the cost sustainability of all these things? Can we really plan for the FUTURE without first addressing how we can practically and sustainably apply these costly endeavours?

HOW?

Innovation leads to Adoption Costs. Knowledge leads to Training Costs. Research & Development leads to Opportunity Costs, and Deployment ends with Maintenance Overheads. Zero-Carbon shouldn’t mean Zero-Profits. We can show you how.

That process has to start TODAY in order for a Smarter, Greener and more Cost-Efficient TOMORROW.

Are SMART Buildings SMART Money?

Oftentimes a Building is viewed as an asset, a place where your team can come together to be productive and generate revenue for the organization. Yet how much do you know about the building that you have been working from? Without energy-efficient HVAC systems for indoor cooling, your business could be a victim of high energy overheads.

Studies have also shown that poor indoor air quality could result in pollutants indoor being many times worse than in the outdoors. This results in absenteeism and employee illness – costing your organization in precious time, manpower, and resources. Ignoring these factors doesn’t seem like the smart choice, so…

IS THE SOLUTION TO THIS: SMART BUILDINGS?

If so, how do you make your building a truly SMART building? We all envision operating a facility with state-of-the-art automated systems, temperature and air quality sensors that utilize big data analysis, and the latest in high-bandwidth wireless connections. Yes, it seems like the future is here at our fingertips – but is this where the SMART money is?
