This is how the story starts... not from a garage, but a small apartment. Just the two of us. So, what's our vision/mission? Well, we were rather simple minded those days - we just wanted to help engineers become more sound engineeringly. Solid. Not hollow. 
In other words, they needed to integrate better with their technical knowledge gained. Hence our namesake. Not just text-books. It’s in the DNA

Back then, it has always been just training, day-in, day-out. What else? We used to admire those big conference organizers. When can we have ours? Finally! Our very own! Not the most glamourous, nor the biggest in town, but something small to begin with. Something we could proud of - our very first Beyond Maintenance 2009 conference. Yes! There were apples!   more

It was an honour to collaborate with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Malaysia Energy Commission) in hosting & managing their ten-year anniversary conference - National Conference on Electrical Safety 2011. We hosted about five hundred participants at the KLCC auditorium. Our biggest so far. It was quite an experience!   more

Our logo re-imagined. Something simple, colorful, modern. We thought it was cool, more vibrant - rest assured with the same quality programs & service level.

Won a Grammy of the training industry! The PSMB Best Training Provider Award 2014 is one of the highest awards issued by the training authority in Malaysia. From this point onwards, we promised to work harder and to better serve the industry. Yes!

Our mission has always been making a difference in peoples' lives through integration of knowledge (IK). The key here is "making a difference" - what if we could make a difference by promoting a value as simple as "Appreciation"? Imagine a world filled with gratitude, and feeling of thanks towards each other - wouldn't that create a better, more peaceful world?

We knew we were small, but we all had to start somewhere, like a torch bearer, one at a time. Just like how we didn't like the "one and done" attitude in training, we had kick-start TQ movement in 2015 - our structured way of performing CSR for the community. Jakarta here we come! Our first venture into the Indonesian market. This has been a long-term quest for us. We decided to schedule at least a session of training there every month. One small step for Indonesia, one giant leap for IK Academy! Charge on!   more

A milestone of 300 industry specialists + 800 technical courses. Definitely not an easy job! It took us thousands of days & hours accumulatively - selecting, connecting, filtering & developing - just so we could offer you the best! Not textbooks, just experience. Again, we are here to stay!

Rebranded into a more minimalistic feel with IK Academy. This new name reflected how we appreciated simplicity. We are in education. Period.

We achieved a 5-star Training Provider rating from PSMB! Yeah… the list is quite long for star ratings, but it's still an important part of industry recognition for our efforts. A reminder to all of us to keep up the good work, to preserve this legacy for the future. There’s no looking back now!   more

An important decision was made to focus into developing an industry-centric community starting 2018. Meaning that it isn’t just training for us anymore - It's a solution (we used to say that in our original branding).
 
Manpower & resources would now be allocated to develop separate communities, each specializing in a different industry sector - with a hope to provide solutions whenever there's any challenges faced by the community, for the community. Making a difference in a longer-lasting way.

Yeap! It's Bangkok this time! Expanded our monthly training schedule in Bangkok starting Feb 2018. We were super excited! Tomyam kung... we love it!   more

Time flies when you’re having fun! 2018 marked the 10th anniversary of IK's operation. We had a celebration & campaign running throughout the year. Oh, we really like art & music (could you tell?). The official spin-off of our business related programs to another sibling brand called - Training Art (TA). From now on, IK Academy (IKA) will continue to serve the technical community (Go Technical!); TA will focus into creating more customized business / management programs. Training is an art that requires craftmanship - Go Bespoke!
