COURSE INTRODUCTION

This programme provides a practical overview of photovoltaic systems and the factors that influence energy yield and system selection. Participants compare solar technologies, stand-alone and grid-connected arrangements, module characteristics, Malaysian implementation options and performance considerations so they can make better-informed PV planning and operational decisions. Practical examples and guided discussion help participants connect the subject to decisions and challenges in their own workplace.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of this programme, participants should be able to:
- Explain the core concepts, terminology and working principles related to PV Solar System.
- Apply structured methods and industry good practices for Overview and implementation of PV systems, Solar water heaters compared with solar electricity generators, and ATAP, net metering, feed-in tariff and stand-alone PV.
- Evaluate relevant energy & sustainability situations and identify risks, gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Translate the learning into practical workplace actions and sound technical decisions.

COURSE OUTCOME

Upon completion, participants will be better prepared to:
- Assess relevant workplace situations using the concepts and methods covered in PV Solar System.
- Select and apply appropriate tools, checks or controls for Overview and implementation of PV systems, Solar water heaters compared with solar electricity generators, and ATAP, net metering, feed-in tariff and stand-alone PV.
- Recommend actions that support energy performance, regulatory readiness and practical sustainability action.
- Communicate findings, improvement opportunities and next steps clearly to relevant stakeholders.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This programme is suitable for engineers, sustainability teams, facility managers, energy managers, EHS personnel, project owners and technical staff involved in energy, carbon or resource-efficiency initiatives.
