COURSE INTRODUCTION
This programme develops practical understanding of protection systems used in low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution networks up to 33 kV. Participants review fault types, protection principles, devices, relay functions, coordination, testing, maintenance and regulatory considerations to support safer and more reliable distribution-system operation. Practical examples and guided discussion help participants connect the subject to decisions and challenges in their own workplace.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
By the end of this programme, participants should be able to:
- Explain the core concepts, terminology and working principles related to Power System Protection for Medium Voltage and Low Voltage.
- Apply structured methods and industry good practices for Chapter 01, 1 Power Network Distribution System, and 2 Electricity Supply Act 1990 and Electricity Regulations 1994.
