COURSE INTRODUCTION
This hands-on programme introduces a structured approach to diagnosing and repairing electronic circuits and components. Participants learn safe working practices, use common test instruments, interpret measurements, check components and trace faults, building the confidence to troubleshoot practical AC and DC electronic problems more systematically. Practical examples and guided discussion help participants connect the subject to decisions and challenges in their own workplace.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
By the end of this programme, participants should be able to:
- Explain the core concepts, terminology and working principles related to Electronics Troubleshooting.
- Apply structured methods and industry good practices for Electrical and electronic safety precautions, AC and DC voltage, current and resistance, and Series and parallel circuit behaviour.
- Evaluate relevant electronics situations and identify risks, gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Translate the learning into practical workplace actions and sound technical decisions.
COURSE OUTCOME
Upon completion, participants will be better prepared to:
- Assess relevant workplace situations using the concepts and methods covered in Electronics Troubleshooting.
- Select and apply appropriate tools, checks or controls for Electrical and electronic safety precautions, AC and DC voltage, current and resistance, and Series and parallel circuit behaviour.
- Recommend actions that support structured diagnostics, repair quality and confident hands-on workmanship.
- Communicate findings, improvement opportunities and next steps clearly to relevant stakeholders.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The Basic and Repair course is targeted at SPM/STPM school leavers, Technical College Students, Technicians, Service Engineers, Retirees, Electronic Hobbyists and those who are interested in Electronics Repair.
