COURSE INTRODUCTION

This practical programme strengthens the technical, regulatory and operational capabilities needed to manage scheduled waste responsibly in Malaysia. Participants examine safe handling, packaging, transportation, inventory control, documentation, emergency preparedness and digital reporting, supported by case studies and applied exercises. The programme also connects compliance requirements with the 7R sustainability principles, helping organisations reduce environmental risk, improve traceability and build a more efficient, accountable waste-management culture.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of this programme, participants should be able to:
- Apply safe procedures for handling, segregating, packaging and transporting scheduled waste.
- Select suitable personal protective equipment, containers and labels for different waste hazards.
- Prepare the records and electronic consignment documentation required for traceability and compliance.
- Plan practical spill-prevention, containment and emergency-response measures.
- Manage scheduled-waste inventories, storage areas and authorised service providers more effectively.
- Use the 7R principles and digital tools to identify waste-reduction and resource-recovery opportunities.
