COURSE INTRODUCTION
This hands-on programme develops practical planning and scheduling capability using Primavera P6. Participants learn to create projects, set calendars and preferences, build work breakdown structures, add and link activities, assign resources, establish baselines, update progress and present schedule information for project control. Practical examples and guided discussion help participants connect the subject to decisions and challenges in their own workplace.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
By the end of this programme, participants should be able to:
- Navigate the Primavera P6 environment and configure project preferences.
- Create projects, calendars, work breakdown structures and activity codes.
- Develop activity logic, constraints and a credible critical-path schedule.
- Use layouts, filters, grouping and reports to communicate schedule information.
- Establish a baseline and update actual progress accurately.
- Analyse variance and forecast completion using the updated schedule.
