CERTIFIED DATA CENTRE PROFESSIONAL (CDCP®) - VILT

16 - 17 NOVEMBER 2026

EXIN-accredited CDCP® certification.

COURSE INTRODUCTION

Modern organisations depend on resilient data centres to support critical services, AI workloads and high-performance computing. This two-day virtual instructor-led programme gives participants a practical understanding of the infrastructure that keeps a data centre available, efficient and manageable. It covers power and cooling systems, site and building considerations, structured cabling, fire protection, physical security, environmental monitoring and recognised industry practices so participants can support current facilities and prepare for future demands.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of this programme, participants should be able to:
- Explain data centre types, critical infrastructure components and the factors that affect availability and business continuity.
- Apply relevant standards, guidelines and site-selection criteria when assessing data centre facilities.
- Evaluate raised-floor, suspended-ceiling, lighting, grounding and airflow requirements.
- Describe resilient power architectures, including redundancy, UPS systems, batteries, transformers and distribution.
- Assess cooling options, containment strategies, liquid cooling and efficiency improvements for modern workloads.
- Plan network cabling, fire protection, physical security and environmental monitoring for a resilient facility.
- Explain how BMS, EMS, DCIM, leak detection and alarm systems support proactive operations.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course is designed for data centre specialists, facilities managers, engineers, technicians and IT professionals who work in or around data centres and are responsible for improving their availability, resilience and manageability.
