CERTIFIED DATA CENTRE FACILITIES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (CDFOS)
19-21 August 2026
21-23 October 2026
EXIN-accredited CDFOS® certification.
COURSE INTRODUCTION
Reliable data centre operations depend on disciplined people, processes and controls as much as on redundant infrastructure. This three-day virtual instructor-led programme develops the practical knowledge needed to run day-to-day facilities operations in a mission-critical environment. Participants learn how to structure service levels, safety and security procedures, maintenance activities, shift operations, capacity monitoring, project work, sustainability practices, document control and asset management. The programme is aligned with the Data Centre Operations Standard (DCOS).
COURSE OBJECTIVES
By the end of this programme, participants should be able to:
- Implement and support service level management requirements for data centre services.
- Apply essential occupational safety, crisis response, permit-to-work and lock-out/tag-out practices.
- Maintain physical security procedures, access controls, monitoring and incident reporting.
- Coordinate facilities maintenance using appropriate procedures, service reports, spares and housekeeping controls.
- Manage shift handovers, walk-around duties, floor capacity and equipment life cycles.
- Monitor and report data centre availability, capacity, alarms and operating capability.
- Plan and control basic data centre projects using a structured project life cycle.
- Support sustainability, document management, governance, compliance and asset-recording requirements.
