COURSE INTRODUCTION
Combined cycle power plants incorporating gas turbines generate a significant of the electricity produced in the world. In addition, gas turbines are used in many industrial applications in their own respect e.g. aircraft. The capacity of gas turbines can range from 20 kW to 480 MW for large utility power plants. Gas turbines are widely used for combined and cogeneration plants where they from the heart of the plant.

- Explain the core concepts, terminology and working principles related to Gas Turbine – Design Maintenance & Operation.
- Apply structured methods and industry good practices for A review of the thermodynamic power cycles and the history of gas turbines, Classifying gas turbines including the types, design, arrangements, and Gas turbine lubricating and control oil systems including the bearings.
- Evaluate relevant mechanical & maintenance situations and identify risks, gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Translate the learning into practical workplace actions and sound technical decisions.
