COURSE INTRODUCTION
This practical programme develops the planning and control skills needed to build, baseline and manage a credible project schedule in Microsoft Project. Participants translate scope into a work breakdown structure, create logical activity networks, assign resources and costs, update progress and analyse critical-path risk. The course also strengthens reporting through Gantt charts, S-curves, look-ahead views and concise schedule narratives.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
By the end of this programme, participants should be able to:
- Configure Microsoft Project for a practical project-planning environment.
- Translate scope into a work breakdown structure, activities and milestones.
- Build logical dependencies and use constraints, lead and lag correctly.
- Assign and level resources, plan costs and establish a schedule baseline.
- Update progress and analyse critical path, slippage, delay and look-ahead risk.
- Present schedule performance using Gantt charts, S-curves and concise reports.
