COURSE INTRODUCTION

This calculation-focused programme helps engineers evaluate industrial thermal systems and identify practical energy-optimisation opportunities. Participants work with heat transfer, boilers, steam distribution, heat exchangers, heat loss, pinch analysis, heat pumps and cogeneration so they can quantify performance and support better engineering decisions. Practical examples and guided discussion help participants connect the subject to decisions and challenges in their own workplace.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of this programme, participants should be able to:
- Explain the core concepts, terminology and working principles related to Industrial Thermal Engineering Calculations Practical Energy Optimisation for Engineers.
- Apply structured methods and industry good practices for Heat Transfer Basics, Steam Generation Systems, and Steam Distribution Systems.
- Evaluate relevant energy & sustainability situations and identify risks, gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Translate the learning into practical workplace actions and sound technical decisions.

COURSE OUTCOME

Upon completion, participants will be better prepared to:
- Assess relevant workplace situations using the concepts and methods covered in Industrial Thermal Engineering Calculations Practical Energy Optimisation for Engineers.
- Select and apply appropriate tools, checks or controls for Heat Transfer Basics, Steam Generation Systems, and Steam Distribution Systems.
- Recommend actions that support energy performance, regulatory readiness and practical sustainability action.
- Communicate findings, improvement opportunities and next steps clearly to relevant stakeholders.
